Background: EnviroCare Corporation is a Massachusetts based company, which was formed after three years of privately funded research and development beginning in 1996.  The goal of this group was to develop and commercialize a series of proprietary, mold, mildew and moisture resistant coatings for the treatment of surfaces in commercial, residential, retail, institutional and other public or private building locations. These coatings, which are sold under the Forsite, EnviroShield, EnviroGuard, and Moldex trademarks are applied to organic and inorganic surfaces, including building materials made of wood, concrete, HVAC steel duct and ventilation, finished and unfinished walls, and a variety of natural and manufactured substrates to impart a moisture protected, and long-lasting mildew resistant coating surface benefit for the owner. These coatings all use EPA registered and FDA compliant antimicrobial additives that are currently in use commercially, in finished articles such as cosmetics, food packaging, humidifiers, bed linens and other consumer goods. The success of EnviroCare’s development effort has been to invent proprietary methods by which, to formulate coatings capable of protecting the coating's surface from mold, mildew, and odor causing bacteria for extended periods of time. These perfected and repeatable systems are modified for factory finish at point of manufacture thereby facilitating ease of installation on-site, in a home, restaurant, hotel, office space, in new or existing commercial and residential construction.
